Being a pump rep is not for the faint of heart. Most pump reps work in a highly unstructured environment and draw a major portion of their income from sales commissions. On any given day a pump rep might make a pump selection, deliver a sales presentation, call on a half dozen customers, negotiate the terms of a contract, prepare a pump quotation, field a couple dozen phone calls, and wade through several dozen emails.
